Timo Glock in the legendary Michael Schumacher livery

The McLaren carrying starting number #59 is set to be one of the emotional highlights of the 2026 ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring. Dörr Motorsport will present the McLaren 720S GT3 Evo in a striking retro livery inspired by Michael Schumacher’s legendary Benetton B195 – the Formula 1 car in which the record world champion secured his second world title in 1995.

The concept was developed in collaboration with Bitburger and “Bembel with Care.” For driver Timo Glock, the project is particularly close to his heart: “It already looked incredibly impressive and emotional in the pictures – but seeing the car in real life, wearing the fantastic suit, and having Michael’s original car standing right next to it is pure emotion.”

The former Formula 1 driver also reflected on his own childhood: “Like so many others, I looked up to Michael as a young boy and watched Formula 1 at home with my father. The fact that we now have the opportunity to race a car like this here and, with the support of the Schumacher family and the Keep Fighting Foundation, give something back, makes it truly special.”

Another emotional detail is that the team’s racing suits also feature the iconic 1995 design. After the race, the worn suits will be auctioned in support of the Keep Fighting Foundation. “Michael Schumacher sparked the motorsport boom in Germany – ultimately, he is the reason why so many of us are here and return to the racetrack weekend after weekend.” Glock added.

The driver lineup is also drawing attention. Alongside current DTM drivers Timo Glock and Ben Dörr, Dörr Motorsport has enlisted two-time DTM champion Timo Scheider, adding even more experience to the team. The quartet is completed by McLaren factory driver Marvin Kirchhöfer, widely regarded as one of the fastest GT3 drivers in international motorsport.

Even so, Glock remains realistic about the race itself: “The weather will be a major factor.” The team’s objective is therefore clear: “We simply want to get through the weekend without mistakes. No technical issues, no errors – if you can achieve that in a 24h race, you are usually already in a very good position.”

And the original will also be present at the Nürburgring: Michael Schumacher’s Benetton B195 will be on display this weekend in the fan area by the Ferris wheel in the paddock, where it is sure to evoke memories for countless fans.
