A new partnership is shifting into top gear: since 2026, Wempe has joined one of the world’s most iconic racetracks as the Official Timing Partner of the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring and the NLS. In doing so, the Hamburg-based family business brings together decades of expertise in precision and timekeeping with the unique thrill of endurance racing on the legendary Nordschleife.
To mark its entry into motorsport, Wempe is unveiling two strictly limited special editions this weekend: the “Iron Walker Chrono XL Carbon Model 24h Nürburgring Edition,” limited to just 24 pieces, and the “Zeitmeister Chrono 42 mm 24h Nürburgring Edition,” available in an edition of 240. Crafted in Glashütte, both chronographs feature distinctive details inspired by the “Green Hell” – from the tachymeter scale to gold-coloured accents that pay tribute to the legendary race. The “Iron Walker Chrono XL Carbon Model 24h Nürburgring Edition” also serves as the winner’s watch and will be presented to the winning team at the awards ceremony on Sunday afternoon.

Chiara Wempe also played an active role in developing the special-edition watches: “Our aim was to create timepieces that enhance the racing experience for the unique 24h community.” The Iron Walker Chrono, in particular, combines high-tech motorsport materials with German chronometer precision and a bold racing aesthetic.
A 24h Nürburgring Debut: The Art Car Created with HWA
Wempe is making a striking statement beyond timekeeping as well: together with HWA AG and Hamburg-based designer Hanna Schönwald, the company has created the HWA EVO.R × WEMPE Art Car. The vehicle merges motorsport, design and art in a contemporary interpretation of the classic art-car concept. Entered under starting number #61, the spectacular racing car will take to the track this weekend, with its unique design coming into its own especially during the night hours.
